Welcome to Sri Selliah Memorial Trust

Sri Selliah Memorial Trust is a non profit non governmental organization functioning since 1993. SSM Trust is working in Trichy and Perambalur drought prone rural area for the development of the rural poor, women, children, and tribes. Most of the families in this area depend on daily wages and rain fed cultivation. Sri Selliah was born in an ordinary family but rose to occupy a very prominent position in the International Labour Organization (ILO). He worked as Regional Advisor in the ILO, New Delhi on labour matters and issues relating to the rural and plantation workers. His love for the rural and plantation workers was immense and he worked tirelessly for their welfare throughout his life. Hence this trust was formed in his name to carry on his work.
